Anybody ever install an SYE without removing transfer case/tranny?
Seems like it can be done from quick look. Just wondering if anybody ever tried and ran into issues?

I haven't done it but it can be done. It's just more comfortable to do it on the workbench and the t-case comes out so easily.
I've had mine out six times. Nothing to it. Takes all of ten minutes and one beer. Disconnecting the drive shafts takes the longest. And you have to do that anyway whether you take the t-case out or not.
The SYE kit is pretty straight forward and simple to install. Just time consuming so laying on your back with crap dropping in your eyes and straining your neck isn't much fun.
Is there a reason why you don't want to remove it? It's six nuts.

on all the ones I have done I've always pulled the case off. Its pretty easy and can be dropped, installed and replaced in just a couple hours. I think the last one I did took close to 3 hrs and I put in a tera-low 4:1 and a better shifter.
