ever since i built my tube fenders i have wanted a stubby bumper. i could build one using some 2x4" steel that i have in my garage, but then i would be just like everyone else
i really like the procomp bumper i have now. its 3/16" and has a nice slope to it that makes it just slide right over rocks. ive been running it for a couple yrs, plus its only $100.
so i decided i would just section some out of mine. all welded up it looks just like the GENRIGHT bumper that retails for $400
so heres what im starting with (no you dont have to take your tires off, im currently building a steering system so thats why mine are off.)
then i tok the bumper off
then i marked where i was going to cut. looks like i'll be taking out 6" on each side. THATS 12" TOTAL!!!!
