It would be like a short XJ.

I think that is one of the best setups around and so does 90% of new trucks. I don't know why they never tried it in a wrangler. The YJ guys do it when they go to coil overs up front.

there are a lot of guys that have done it with tons just to get them under but most wish they went with a 4 link. leafs work all right but for the work its not hard to run 4 links and mounts. heck clayton, gen right and others have all the geometry figured out 2

The new diesel Jeep Wrangler, only available overseas and is going to be used by the US military, has coils in the front and leafs in the rear. The leafs are more dependable and can carry a heavier load, better for mounting guns and towing.
Articulation wise, a four link will flex better.

You mean the J8, Yes leafs in the rear.Most Wranglers don't carry that much weight and the coils ride better.
