Has anyone had a problem with their Jeep dropping out of 5th gear? It only happens when I decelerate where it just drops to neutral. Hoping it is an easy fix. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Is your jeep stock, or do you have a body lift on it? If so, you may need to cut away some sheet metal from around the stick shift.

It is still stock (for now). I'll check to be sure it isn't what you mentioned. Thanks.

I had the same problem with it happening in first gear, on acceleration, It was the transmission boot, under the stick shift boot. Carefully pry your stick shift ring up, slide both boots all the way up. Before you snap your beezle ring back down, drive around for a while and see if it happens again.. Good luck.
