JK with a Hemi

I have heard that Jeep is going to come out with a Hemi option for the JK but I have only heard this from a couple people with nothing verified. Has anyone else heard this?

Hemi is only a 5.7 I have a 5.9 so by size numbers alone I still win.

I've heard a few times that the new 'Hemi' isn't really a hemi at all. Is this true?

I would still call it a 5.7 V8 unless they changed that to.

Ah, but if the 5.7 becomes available, then the 6.1 and 6.4 become drop-ins with just a little playing around! Imagine if you can a JK SRT 6.4/392...bring a whole new meaning to the tag "Unlimited"

Only thing different about a Hemi engine are the heads, shape and what's in them. (Hemi= Hemispherical)
Why do they keep goofing around with gas motors and not drop in a four cylinder diesel I'll never know.
But I did hear there is a V8 option coming. Not sure it's the Hemi tho'.

The hemi is more than likely - I've heard that the 4.7 V8 either is or shall soon be history. There is also talk of an I4 or V6 diesel, but it may be for export only because EPA diesel emissions regs are far more strict than the rest of the world.
