I know if a car is currently flagged as stolen you’d never be able to register it, but I’m curious about whether past theft stays on record. What if it was stolen years ago and recovered, does that history follow it or does it vanish once the case is closed. I’m looking at a car that made me think about it, not saying it was stolen, but just wondering if that’s something you can find out. It would be good to know either way.
