my heater switch stopped working? i bought a repair manual, and i called the jeep dealer, they say it's probably the relay and not the switch does anyone know how to find out. county line offroaders annual snowjam poker run is this coming weekend it would be great to have heat

How expensive is the relay? Check Autozone. They probably have it cheap. Replace it and eliminate the relay question. They usually just plug in at the fuse block.

Quick diagnostic question... Does your fan work on high, but not the lower speeds?

If yes, then the blower resistor has probably gone bad.

If no, then i would check the fuses first. Relays can go bad, but they dont usually.


I work on a car recently that the fan didnt work at all. Wiring was good, circuit breaker wasnt tripped. Found out that the blower motor resistor failed in such a way that the fan didnt run on any speed.

Just something to check...its about a $12 part....

That's too cheap. He needs something more expensive to be wrong with it. It's a Jeep!
