Since I am going to do an 8.8 swap, I already know that I am going to need new spring perches. BUT what about shock mounts? I noticed an extreme lack of information about shock mounts for 8.8 axles into SUA YJ's.

do I need to find shock mounts as well or do the stock shocks bolt in place and work?

You can find shock mounts anywhere. Thats the least of your worries. the explorer mounts the lower shock mount off of the spring plate. Some people do that. I think thats how jeffs is. I made my front lower mounts like that when I did my soa.

You are also going to need spring plates and new ubolts. And an adapter flange... ect.....

You staying stock height or are you going to water it while you're at it?

I bought the M.O.R.E. kit. It came with everything for about $100. U-bolts, spring plates, spring perches, and shock mounts. I got it at the Off Road Show in Pomona so they threw in the drive shaft flange for free and the shipping free. Quick and easy install. I also bought the MORE e-brake cable just to make my install simple.
You MAY need upper shock extensions just FYI. Doing the 8.8 raises your shocks.
