Ok, so I think this is the right section to post this is..if not, sorry, lemme know where to move it and I shall.
Everyday when I park at my house I get the hear the obnoxious DOING of my antenna hitting the trees. After 3ish years I finally got pissed off and decided I'm either ripping it off or buying a new one...
I ended up hearing about AntennaX from another forum and figured, what the hell i'll give it a try. Did some research and decided on this: http://www.antennax.com/p-3977-off-...rangler-2007-2008-2009-2010-2011-2012-jk.aspx
Ordered it as a birthday gift for myself and installed it this morning. Went driving around before, during and after work to test her out. So far, im loving it! All my stations come in perfectly clear and even some stations that didn't come in so clear before come in clearer now!
Most importantly, I think it makes Luna look good.Such a simple and cheap mod! I'll keep everyone posted if I find any thing I don't like... but for 15 bucks with shipping on amazon.. I couldn't pass it up!
Worth every penny and then some! ;)

here's how it looks :

Yeah it looks better for sure.
Does that windshield fold down/forward? Did they take that away in the JK?

That does look slick. I'm thinking about putting a 102" whip on my truck as a radio antenna... :D

When you have one just laying around, why not?

I would say so! out of curiosity, what possesses someone to buy one that big?
Compensating.

A 102" whip is for a CB which is AM. It might help with FM a little but FM doesn't need much help.
Those long whips on the trail suck. People get hit with them when your Jeep is rolling around and it really becomes a whip.
The 102" stainless steel whip is the best CB antenna you can get tho'.

I wouldn't say that i am compensating.... I was running it as a CB antenna trying to lower some interference.... I sold the car it was mounted to and kept the antenna... Now it just sits in the corner collecting dust.

It was a joke.
We all know you wouldn't compensate.

(where's that winking emoticon when you need it?!)

Hey! I'm the one with the country last name! I have horses! I live on a ranch! I have a funny looking hat and some of those pointy toed boots with high heels! I don't wear Wranglers but I drive one! I even have a big giant belt buckle somewhere! OK.... you're right. I live in the country and that's as close as it gets.
