My fuel gauge dances around a lot. What can i do to fix it so it reads steadily and properly?
91 2.5l wrangler.

Your float might be broken but still reading the level of fuel possibly get a new one

Possible loose connection either on the gauge or on the sending unit on top of the tank?
I'm guessing the latter.

My gas gauge seems to read incorrectly... Once I get to about a 1/4 of a tank I am out of gas??? Any thoughts?

I have a 92 yj. Replaced fuel pump and when the tank was open there is a splash guard inside the tank. This gets distorted with age and loses shape causing the float to hang up on the inside of the guard. The mechanic told not to run lower than 1/4 to keep from running out of gas.
Remedy would be to replace it.
