Does the 2010 JK passenger front seat flip up to allow passengers to enter the rear seating area? My 2004, and 1997 TJ did. The 2012 JK does also. My dealer says its not supposed to, but admits he's never owned a Wrangler.

What the hell...

I swear every year Jeep makes a new Wrangler they get less and less of what a Wrangler should be and more and more of what a soccer mom wants...

I've heard rumors that you can buy aftermarket parts and "mod" it to do what it should. I myself have been looking into it. I honestly think they did it so theyd make more money in the long run.
I'm not amused either way.

meh yeh ill agree with you on that. i saw one at the auto-show and i was like wait wtf? the doors had the jeep hinges on the outside. but inside the doors had bolted up normal truck hinges. so you can't even take the doors off without using a wrench these days... there becoming everyday SUVs pretty soon the tops won't even be removable. its a joke.

The seatback folds forward and the entire seat slides in the '12. Works like every hatchback or coupe w/backseats I've ever seen. As someone mentioned, the person in the front seat as to readjust it because when you return the seat it goes back to the default "uncomfortable" position.

Just checked this out myself.. seem our 08 passenger seat does move foreword then the back shifts forward.. I've attempted to enter the rear seat area this way and couldn't do it without twisting or throwing something out (back) and figured that's what the "Four" door unlimited jeep ver. was meant for.. clearly it's time for us to remove the rear seat.
