I attended The Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Coalition (COHVCO), in conjunction with the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the US Forest Service, and the Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife will be holding its 12th Annual Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Management Workshop friday.

They had a ton of good information about how/ when / and who/ to contact regarding land use issues. The most important was to contact them OFTEN, OFTEN, OFTEN.

They said it is more important to contact them often and about one issue at a time and then follow-up with a quick letter about what was talked about so there is a record of the conversation and what was said.

I know most of you "don't do comments on land use issues"... but think about this: IF you don't start soon... don't complain when your favorite trail closes and you have only the mall to go wheeling to... OR you will have to pay to wheel like the eastern boys do at an ORV park.
