Default BRAND NEW DESIGNS - D rings, Recovery Hooks & Hitch Hooks in Aluminum

Hello everyone,

I'm in the process of designing some D rings, tow hooks and tow hitch hooks for my wrangler. Let me know what you guys think.

They will all be made in six series military grade aluminum. All parts will be tested for strength and durability with special coating.

This is not a advertising or sales thread.

Looks good.
I wish they came more often in aluminum.
If you ever get making them for sale let me know.

I know they are probably real strong but compared to steel, how do they hold up? My hooks take a severe dead pull jerk occasionally. Do I have to worry about them fragging into my face?

I will have them tested for strength and see where the weak points are. I think they should hold up for your typical application, unless you start to go extreme. I will have numbers as soon as I make my first set for testing.

As a guy who works with aluminum some, I prefer how aluminum breaks if it fails to how steel breaks......if that makes sense.
Steel seems more brittle I guess is the word i want.
Went it breaks it does so suddenly and with metal shards flying.
Aluminum seems to bend and twist a bit more warning of impending failure....and when it does break the pieces don't seem to have the energy and destruction as badly as steel.
But a hook on a jeep is likely a lot different than a hook on a helicopter or jet boat.
